Scholarships and Auditions
To encourage excellence among its students, the BPDS and its mother company, Ballet Philippines, maintain the highest roster of scholars in the country. Scholarships are awarded to children and advanced dance students from the different regions and Metro Manila on a regular basis. This is in line with the CCP and BP’s mission to discover and nurture young talents in dance.
These scholars eventually become candidates for apprenticeship and membership to the company. The scholars regularly perform at the CCP’s theaters for the company’s season and for special productions.
The available scholarships are:
BPDS Scholarship (for dancers ages 9-13)
Male Scholarship Program (for male dancers up to age 20, with any dance background)
Intermediate and Advanced levels (ages 14 and up with 5-8 years dance training)
