Running from August 1 to 3 at The Theatre at Solaire, the season opener reimagines two beloved classics for a new generation. At the Gala Night on August 1, 2021 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Maria Ressa will take the stage as guest narrator in Repertory Philippines’ musical theater production of Peter and the Wolf. The tale’s characters come alive through the instruments of the Manila Symphony Orchestra, in a performance that combines storytelling, live music, and theatrical flair.

The program also features Ballet Philippines’ adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood, choreographed by Artistic Director Mikhail Martynyuk. Drawing from classical roots while incorporating modern emotional storytelling, the ballet presents a fresh take on the well-known fable—with themes of courage, kindness, and discernment at its core.

Together, the twin bill introduces audiences young and old to the magic of classical performance while championing artistic accessibility. Seats have been set aside through Ballet Philippines’ outreach initiatives for students, indigenous youth, and members of underserved communities.

Peter and the Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood runs from August 1 to 3, 2025 at The Theatre at Solaire. Get your tickets here.
