She is a graduate of Moscow State Academy of choreography (class I. A. Kolenchenko and M. V. Mikhailova) in the year 2000, and was invited to the theatre "Kremlin ballet".

The awards she has garnered include:
- Laureate: the Youth prize "Triumph" (2001)
- The First International Ballet Artist contest in Astana (2006, 2nd prize and silver medal)
- International Ballet competition "Arabesk-2008" (Perm, third prize and the prize of the E. S. Maximova and Vladimir Vasiliev for best duet)
- Winner of Ballet magazine’s dance soul in the category “Rising Star” (2007)

For many years Alexandra prepared the party under the leadership of the great Russian ballerina Ekaterina Sergeevna Maximova.

Performances where she danced the lead role includes some of the best-loved ballets such as: Cinderella (Cinderella), Marie (The Nutcracker), Odette - Odille (Swan Lake), Kitrie (Don Quixote), Giselle (Giselle), Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Aurora, Princess Florine (Sleeping Beauty), Medora (Corsair), Diana, Esmeralda, Fler de Lise (Esmeralda), Lyudmila (“Ruslan and Lyudmila”), Queen of the Night (“Magic flute”), Susanne, Fanshetta (Figaro), Kupava (The Snow Maiden), Scheherazade (Thousand and One Nights), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Nikiya, Gamzatti (La Bayadere).

Timofeeva has participated in the "Kremlin ballet" tour around Russia and has traveled to dance in countries such as France, Italy, China, Thailand, UAE, Greece, Spain, Germany, South Korea just to name a few.

After her role as prima-ballerina, she was invited to the theatre "Kremlin Ballet" in 2019 for the position of teacher-tutor. She successfully works with kordebalet and rehearses with young prospective dancers.
